Oh Pasta! What is it that’s so special about a noodle? Is it the taste, the texture, the sauces, or just the feeling or fullness it gives us? I think it’s all the things.
I grew up eating pasta dishes and I’ve yet to have a day when a bowl of spaghetti with butter, freshly grated parmesan cheese and black pepper wasn't able to cheer me up a bit.
When I think about comfort food, I often think soups, stews or Southern classics, like Chicken and Dumplings. Pasta gets overlooked and I think it could quite possibly be the best comfort food ever.
This week was all about pasta and I can’t wait to share these recipes with you…
First up, we have a Baked Tortellini Alfredo. It starts with Italian sausage and spinach that combines with tortellini, that’s tossed in an Alfredo sauce and is covered in cheese and baked in the oven for that crispy, cheesy top!

Another crowd favorite this week was this Shrimp Scampi. It only takes 25 minutes from start to finish and is light and delish with a garlic buttery sauce. Time saving tip: Buy the shrimp peeled and deveined to save time and effort.
This Rose Pasta is topped with crispy prosciutto, and it's creamy and delicious. Also known as pink sauce, it is so simple to make in only 30 minutes and full of flavor!

Our lives revolve around eating, which can honestly be annoying at times, but think about the those little moments when eating connects us. It makes all that cooking and doing dishes worth it. Ok, maybe not the dishes, ugh.
My daughter asks me for noodles after school at least 3 days a week, and I hope that when she's 25 she still comes over and asks for noodles. She better! That’s what I love about food. I love that I’m creating my own recipe book for my girls to cook for their kids one day. I also love sharing them with you!
Thank you for reading and go make some pasta. Happy cooking and have a fantastic weekend!
