Can someone stop time? I’ve been running at a million miles per hour and I might have a case of burnout…currently working through many moods, haha!
We had so much fun this past weekend. It started with a girl’s night at the Melting Pot for my 13 year old’s birthday, then the Renaissance festival and trick or treating. I think I need a nap.
The apple craze is slowly coming to an end this month, and I’ve been in love with making apple recipes this Fall. I needed just one more to feel satisfied and this is potentially my favorite.
These Apple Turnovers with Phyllo Dough are flaky, buttery and stuffed with apple pie filling. They are the perfect Fall dessert, and great for Holidays. Ready in less than an hour!
Oh, and here’s the filling. YUM!

Affordable Meals
Ok, so I’m definitely not a “feed your family for a week for $80” kind of food creator, but I like a good meal on a budget. Groceries are crazy high so I wanted to share some recipes that feed a family of 4-5 for under $30.
This first one is healthy and great for Fall. It’s a butternut squash and red pepper soup and it pairs great with a simple grilled cheese sandwich or my Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt.

Next up is a really cheap recipe, that is also delish! It’s a classic baked ziti recipe and you have options to buy jarred sauce or make your own. (I’ve got a killer marinara recipe). This is meatless, but it’s super simple to add ground beef too.
This Crusted Chicken Romano is a Cheesecake Factory Copycat Recipe and it's so yummy and pretty inexpensive to make! The Chicken Breast is breaded and fried into crispy perfection. Pair it with rice or potatoes for a simple meal.
That’s it for this week! Let me know if you make any of these recipes.
Happy Cooking~
