Next week is the Super Bowl and I’ll be filling your inbox with greasy food, so we’re covering Valentine’s Day a little early. If you’re thinking about staying home and cooking for your Valentine, I have some fun “pink, red, and elegant” recipe ideas!
First up are these Strawberry Turnovers. They are great for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. I tested this recipe so many times this week and continued to get more and more basic with the filling. I should have started that way, ugh.
The final results are perfect and this recipe is only 6 ingredients, including water. The puff pastry is golden and flaky and is filled with Strawberry Preserves. A simple drizzle of icing is added at the end for a finishing touch. The puff pastry is store-bought, which saves time, and this is a 30 minute recipe.

Valentine’s Day Dinners
This Rose pasta is one of my favorite “fancy” dinners, but it’s so easy to make. Spaghetti is tossed in pink sauce, which is like a combo of Alfredo and Marinara. It’s topped with crispy prosciutto and parmesan for a decadent meal.
These Boneless Beef Short Ribs are super elegant for date night. They cook in the dutch oven to develop really great flavors. Serve them with my red skinned mashed potatoes and gravy for the full experience!
One Last Treat
For another Valentine’s Day treat that’s fun to make with the kiddos, try these Heart Shaped Thumbprint Cookies. They take less than 30 minutes to make and they’re so stinking cute!
That’s it for this week! Talk to you soon with lots of appetizers for the big game/Swiftie sighting/Usher concert.
Happy Cooking!
