First off, Happy Father’s Day to all the awesome dads out there. We love you and we mean it..even if we make you grill your own food on Father’s Day.
A friend shared this meme on Mother’s Day….
Don’t worry, I’m going to share lots of recipes for whoever wants to cook!
I’m in the truck today on day 2 of our camping trip to Maine. We stayed at a cute little lake last night in Pennsylvania and now we’re back on a bumpy road to Cape Cod, with a current time of 4 hours and 41 minutes until we make it to camp. We have the kids and our 1 year old Labrador. Let’s face it, it will be more like 7 hours.
We upgraded our truck out of necessity and it has wifi, which I consider to be the best luxury known to man. Hopefully, it will let me hit send on this email, haha! My husband is also giving me the side eye as I sit here on my computer and make him drive.
If you’re not following me on IG, do that! I’ll be sharing some highlights of our trip in my stories- Instagram @simply_made_eats
Father’s Day Recipes
The Summer season has certainly inspired some of these recipes, but careful consideration was also made for the dads in my life. These are their favorites!
Appetizer
This Elote Dip or Mexican Street Corn Dip is my brother’s request at all parties. It’s creamy and absolutely loaded with flavor!
Blackstone Grilling
To make big daddy real happy, make him these Smash Burgers & don’t forget the Smash burger sauce. It’s amazing!
Dinner for Cooking Inside
If the grill isn’t for you, try this NEW Chicken Romano recipe I just posted on the blog. It’s crusted in salty Pecorino Romano cheese and just absolutely delicious paired with pasta!

Dessert
If dad is a sweet tooth, make him this no churn oreo ice cream! Prep it early in the morning or the day before for the best results.
That’s it for today! I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend celebrating their dads, whether together or in spirit.
Talk to you next week with more trip details and some really crazy camping hair!
hugs and kisses
