It’s almost that time, when Christmas parties start showing up everywhere. I’ve invited Payton’s friends over for a hot cocoa party next weekend. Having a large group of 13 year old girls over is a great way to get rid of husbands and obnoxious dogs, if anyone was wondering. I’ll probably be unable to hear for 2 days afterward though.
This week I worked on new Holiday Appetizers. All of them are pretty easy to make, with the meatballs requiring a little bit more work. Let me just tell you about these cocktail meatballs. Everyone begs me to make them every Christmas Eve and they ask for the recipe, so I’ve finally made a blog post for them. Will they actually make them? Probably not, but they’re so good, they need to be shared with the world.
These mini meatballs start with a mixture of ground beef and pork, with breadcrumbs, eggs and a few secret ingredients to make them nice and juicy! Then, a homemade sweet and sour sauce is whipped up that glazes the meatballs perfectly. I also give several other sauce choices in the post, if you’re not crazy about sweet and sour sauce.

Next up we have this Garlic Baked Brie Dip. We use a round brie and just slice off the top rind then bake it until nice and gooey. On the stovetop, we roast garlic slices with herbs and butter, then pour it on top of the brie. Lastly, it’s drizzled in honey. It’s so good and ready in just 15 minutes.
For a really easy appetizer, that’s cheap and goes great with veggies, serve up this Green Onion Dip. It’s a little bit like Ranch, but less tangy with more crunch from the fresh green onions.
I specifically love it with Classic Ruffle potato chips, sliced cucumbers and bell peppers. Ready in 5 minutes!
